Autumn Fun!
Thank you to all the parents that joined us for our annual Autumn workshop. We had lots of fun cutting, sticking, drawing and colouring.
We had lots of fun making our healthy yogurts!
Thank you to all of the grown-ups that came with us to Morrisons so that we could get our ingredients.
The children did some fantastic instruction writing afterwards.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
We have been learning the story 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea,' by Judith Kerr.
To celebrate children's hard work, we had a tea party at the end of the topic.
We even had a special visit from the tiger herself!
Thank you so much to all of the grown-ups who contributed towards the cost of the party!
Christmas time in Year 2
On Wednesday 27th November, Year 2 got into the Christmas spirit early during our annual Christmas workshop.
Thank you to all the parents that helped; it wouldn't have been a success without you.
We hope you had as much fun as the children.
Currently, Year 2 are extremely busy rehearsing for the Key Stage 1 Christmas concert 'It's a baby!' Please support your child by helping them to learn their lines.
Dinosaur Planet
In our topic, this half term, the children will learn about reptiles, dinosaurs and fossils. They will discover all about Mary Anning and her famous discovery; the Ichthyosaur.
They will also look at images of different dinosaur teeth and sort them into groups of meat eaters and plant eaters. Furthermore, they will compare life during the age of dinosaurs with modern life.
For the 'innovate' task; the children will make sculptures of dinosaurs using different shaping techniques.
