P.E. will take place on Thursday afternoon each week so please come to school in your P.E kit every Thursday.

Lest We Forget

We will be having a minute's silence on 11.11.21 at 11 o'clock to remember those that have fought and fallen in wars.

Remember, remember the 5th of November,

Gunpowder, treason and plot,

We see no reason why gunpowder treason,

Should ever be forgot!

Children have been learning about The Gunpowder Plot and know why we celebrate Bonfire Night.

See if children can tell you the story about when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

This half term we will continue to learn about habitats in Science.  We will also be learning about David Attenborough and the importance of looking after our natural world.  Furthermore, we will be researching the life of Jane Goodall and her work with chimpanzees.

In R.E. we will be thinking about how should we care for others and why it matters.  Children will be given the opportunity to listen to and re-tell Bible stories; talk about issues of good and bad and right and wrong.

In Music the children will be having lots of fun playing untuned instruments and reading and creating their own piece of music.

Please click on the links below for the Chilli Challenges homework and the Creative homework.

You can upload any homework on to Seesaw or bring it into school by the 10th December.

We cannot wait to see all of your lovely creations and all of the hard work that you do at home.

Year 2 Sponsored Dancing and Running Event

We would like to say a huge ‘Thank you,’ to everyone for making our sponsored event so successful.

We are overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity towards raising money for the World Wildlife Fund.

The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all of the activities and had a fulfilled day.

Well done to all of the children for taking part and thank you so much grown-ups!
