Welcome to the Nursery page!

The Nursery and Reception children are working as a unit for some of the time this year - exciting times!

Children to bring in their book bags every Thursday so they can visit our Nursery Library and choose a book to bring home to share with their family!

This half term our topic is called Is it shiny?

As part of this topic we will be learning about......

Bonfire Night and how it is celebrated.

Remembrance Day

Is it shiny? The children will explore lots of different objects and materials. They will be feeling different textures and describing what they feel. The children will also sort objects and explain how they have made their choices.

Mirrors and Reflections

And of course we will be getting ready for ...........

This is a very exciting time and we will be very busy with lots of festive songs and crafts.

For Remembrance Day the children all made their own poppy.

The whole school had 1 minutes silence at 11 o'clock and the nursery children were amazing.

Our topic this half term is called

Why do you love me so much?

As part of this topic we look at starting nursery and how exciting it is. The children look at the differences and similarities between themselves and they also look in a mirror to paint their portrait.

We talk about people that we love and people that are in our families. The children get very creative making lots of different hearts and they also get to bake some heart shaped biscuits!

We also talk about friends and what makes a good friend.
