Welcome to the Nursery page!
The Nursery and Reception children are working as a unit for some of the time this year - exciting times!
Our first topic this year is ..........
'Why do you love me so much?'
The children will explore;
- all about me and what is special about me.
- our families and our friends.
-what makes a good friend.
- how people are the same and different.
- how we show that we care.
We will also begin to look at signs of Autumn.
We also look at British Values and the nursery children will focus on the importance of following rules to keep them safe and happy.
"British Values" are reinforced through our exciting, enriched curriculum.
Children to bring in their book bags every Thursday so they can visit our Nursery Library and choose a book to bring home to share with their family!
Christmas Jumper Day
It has been a very exciting day in nursery and we have really enjoyed looking at all of the Christmas jumpers. We have been listening to Christmas songs and the children have all coloured and designed their own Christmas jumper (on paper) too!
This half term our topic is called 'Is it shiny?'
We will be learning about:
Bonfire night and fireworks.
Different materials - shiny and not shiny.
Mirrors and reflections.
We will be looking at these books:
How to catch a star
Our Christmas workshop is on Wednesday 27th November and parents/carers are welcome to join us for some festive craft activities.
This half term we will be looking at different nursery rhymes and signs of Winter.
We have had lots of new children join us and they have now all settled in well. Have a look at some of our pictures to see what fun we have been having.
